Inspiration: The Menil Retreat Foundation at the Menil Campus in Houston, TX was inspired by the master of light, Louis Kahn. Light was studied carefully in order to reapply some of his strategies to beautify the spaces. Another project used for inspiration was Grace Farms by Sanna Architect who integrates the building well into the site creating experiences for the public.

Concept: The Menil Retreat Foundation will have access to meditation spaces for those who are visiting museums near the property. The project will offer access to a first and second level for meditation spaces different in volume and connecting the site to the building with nature and natural light for the public to enjoy.
